Already

It's been quite a busy month! I can't believe that it's already July, and there's less than 10 weeks until Addie's due. We went to Falls Creek the second week of June, and it was great. Before we went, I didn't have the best attitude about going. I was worried about getting comfortable in the bunk beds. I was worried about getting enough sleep. And I just didn't want to leave my comfy couch. But once we got there, it was great. I didn't get enough sleep, but that made it easy to get comfortable enough to get to sleep every night. And I didn't miss the couch...that much. The student showed up with such good attitudes. They didn't really fight, and they helped out when needed without too much complaining. Several of them volunteered to help many times during the week. Shauna was especially helpful all week, and such a good role model for the younger girls. These kids really showed me what a difference a good attitude makes to those around you. It wasn't as hard a week for me as I thought it might be. The girls were quiet in the mornings while getting ready (so I could sleep a little later). No one ever complained when I jumped the line for meals. The other sponsors made sure I had cold water to drink and that I stayed in the shade when we watched the girls play volleyball. (JL almost killed us when he drove us to the rec fields that day.) And Tom made me grilled cheese when I didn't feel like eating that night's dinner. I felt very well loved by all these people going the extra mile when they didn't have to do anything at all. Lately, our lives are even more taken over by baby. We spend part of our evenings laying around watching and feeling my belly. Addie loves to push herself against Daddy's hand when he touches my belly. We started her room. So far, Scott patched the walls and we put on one coat of primer. We're going to put another coat of primer on this weekend, then we'll paint it green. Then we get to start moving all her stuff in. (By the way, we're still looking for a dresser, so let us know if you find a nice one for a decent price. New or used.) The first wave of babies is being born. Brandon (from work) and his wife, Sam, should have theirs sometime today. And Leah's being induced tomorrow; I can't wait to see Kairi. Bobbi's due next month, and we're just 23 days after her. :) I hope you're all having a good summer. I wish you all lots of swimming and hot dogs. (If you need some homemade relish for those hot dogs, let me know.)
